Program Description

Event Details

Join us in celebrating the theme of our Summer Learning Program, Color Our World, with an exciting Comic Book Workshop led by Do Art Productions! In this interactive and creative session, we'll dive into the unique language of comics—exploring everything from facial expressions and body posture to the dialogue within speech bubbles. Expect fun twists and engaging activities to keep the energy high. You'll have the chance to sketch dynamic poses and bring to life characters like juggling axolotls, flying giraffes, or dabbing pandas! By the end of the workshop, you'll see just how easy and fun cartooning and creative expression can be. Together, we’ll create a comic using the characters and ideas from our drawing exercises. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

  • This session, 10 am - 12 pm is for Grades K-5.
